Our Trinidad-style Caribbean cuisine is as diverse as the different ethnic groups that make up our people. Trinidad’s multicultural society gives you the enjoyment of Indian, Creole, Chinese, Syrian-Lebanese and Italian foods. With such a range of choices and flavors, your taste buds are sure to be delighted.  And for those of you who love spicy and peppery tastes, we recommend that you add a little locally made pepper sauce to you food. But be careful, it is much hotter than Tabasco sauce!

GETTING DOWN TO THE BASICS

For the main meals, such as lunch and dinner, there are many choices of appetizing foods. Some East Indian favorites include curried chicken, potato, shrimp, goat, duck or beef packages in a roti skin – a special type of pastry. These spicy meals usually come with the added options of curried potatoes, channa (chick peas), or  pumpkin. Special potato or aloo pies are also local favorites that can be consumed on the run.  Or come by and start your day with saltfish and fry bake, and wash that down with a cool drink of Milo or Ovaltine.

Check out our daily specials, and enjoy a hot plate of stewed chicken, beef, ox tails, or goat. Our dishes are usually complemented by a mouth watering array of vegetable side dishes such as yam, plantain (a large sweet banana), sweet potatoes, or cassava pie and eddoes in a thick cream sauce. You can also savor a filling bowl of cow heel soup.  Another must is callaloo, uniquely spicy "Trinbagonian" spinach soup.

Or if it's seafood you're craving, then you've come to the right place.  You'll find yourself feasting on our delectable dishes of stewed king fish, curry conch or curry shrimp, and the legendary oyster cocktail

HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT TOO

Our desserts such as paimie and pone are sinfully sweet. Try our freshly-baked currant rolls, coconut rolls, jub jub and sugar cakes, and don’t forget the Indian delicacies like korma.  If our exotic delights aren't what you're in the mood for, take a slice of our traditional carrot cake, or give in and go for that helping of chocolate cake.  Go ahead, we won't tell on you.

DRINK UP AND PARTY DOWN!

We have many fruit drinks to offer you. Quench your thirst with some delicious drinks such as orange and carrot juice, sorrel and Solo. You should also try seamoss, Malta, and Peardrax. A couple of sips, and you'll feel like you're back home again. Or if you are an alcohol aficionado, then drop by the store next door, grab yourself a couple of bottles of Carib, and enjoy a cold one with your meal.

So come visit us, and savor a taste of the Caribbean.  And if that catchy tune playing over our speakers just keeps playing in your head, take the album home with you!  We carry a wide selection of calypso, reggae, soca, and dance music.  With the music playing, the friendly smiling faces, and the wonderful aromas of the food, you'll swear you were back in the Islands.
